By Pie Tan It's been 4 months since I started The Travel Tub, and I can honestly say that blogging has been one of the most challenging thing I've done in my entire life (I'm not trying to exaggerate). The term sounds easy and simple though, but not until you place yourself in the situation where you have to squeeze your brain and thoughts when you got run-out of ideas. Nevertheless, completing a blog gives you the feeling of fulfillment. As a newbie, it helps me a lot when I read and apply tips from other well experienced bloggers. But why do I waste my time in writing blogs? How does it helps me anyway? Like traveling, I don't write blogs just for the sake of having one, but because I know I can express myself better by doing so. Talking about its advantages, here they are:
Personal experience is the key factor in writing good contents and endless ideas, it gives sense to your write-ups as you will be putting yourself and emotions into it. As what I've read from somewhere, "Write what you know, not what you think you know!". When you enjoy and love what you are doing, all else will eventually follow.

I write because it is a way for me to affirm my beliefs and personal growth. It helps me organize my thoughts and in this way, I add value to readers and at the same time, I am able to better coach people.

Blogging is both therapeutic and engaging. Therapeutic because we could write down our thoughts, musings and in a way share experiences with others. And those others are oftentimes thankful because of the learnings. Its engaging because you have readers and you get to read othet blogs too and learn from them.

We are the same! I blog because I know that I can express myself better in doing so. Although I confess that I am not a very skilled writer and I do commit some grammatical errors, by continuing to do what I love and reading blogs of others, I can learn from them and it helps me to enhance my blogging skills.

I started my blog just to express myself, but I also noticed the benefits that you outlined. Particularly for me, I learned a lot because I wanted to be responsible in the things that I publish. I make sure that what I write has basis, so I also do research. Or at least try to. :)
