A friend of mine have informed me earlier that VOA (visa on arrival) in Jordan is not possible anymore as they have recently changed the rules. To avoid future problems with your planned trip, kindly check and confirm visa standing from the Jordanian Embassy in your country of residence. UPDATED: August 28, 2016 For Philippine passport holders, Jordan is a country that requires an immigration approval prior to travel. (Good news for GCC Residents) See also: JORDAN SELECT TOURS: OUR 5D4N ITINERARY I and my husband are currently arranging a visit to Jordan this coming November 2015, and as for our case (Filipinos holding a GCC Residency), after inquiring here and there, contacting the immigration in Amman and Jordan Embassy in Qatar, it was then confirmed that we are eligible for a visa upon arrival in Amman Queen Alia Airport Jordan provided we have the following documents / requirements:
Additional Requirements that might be needed from the point of departure (should cover the whole trip duration):
Visa can also be waived as long as you have a Jordan Local Tour Operator arranging your travel itineraries and that you will be staying inside the country for 2 or more consecutive nights. It is also possible to apply for a Tourist Visa (2 months visa) beforehand at the Jordan Embassy if you wish to. Below are the requirements for visa application.
The above mentioned information were gathered last September 2015, Jordan Immigration Authorities might do some changes in their policies anytime. Thus, it is advise that you check and confirm from the Jordan Embassy at your country of residence the latest info prior to your travel. You can find as well some related and supporting facts at Emirates Airlines, Gulf Air and Qatar Airways websites (visa information page). It would be my pleasure to help should you need clarifications and further details. Happy trip! Hi Pie! Can we only avail the visa-on-arrival if we are flying through the 3 airlines you mentioned? Or Oman Air is also accepted? Thank you!

Thank you for the reply Pie! We just booked our hotel and will be flying via FlyDubai. My friend and I will be going there on the National Day for 3 days. How was your trip there? I hope you had a blast! :)

Hi, we were denied on board by FlyDubai. Me and my friend have the return tickets, the hotel booking and the money. They already stamped our visa but during the last stage when we're about to board the plane, they didn't allow us because they said we need to obtain visa and they called the immigration in Jordan that we can't. We went to FlyDubai in DXB airports and was told that we need a security approval. We are Filipinos with valid UAE Residence. Some employees even on the visa counter said why we're offloaded? And they said we can travel there and obtain VOA, now we are already confused.

Yeah we did an online check-in. During the last stage, 3 people approved it but one guy named Adam, a Kenyan guy they said intervened and took our passports and boarding passes and asked us if we have check-in baggages we said no then we were asked to sit far away from their station. He said he called the immigration and informed us that we can't go to Jordan. By the way, it happened in DWC Al Maktoum Airport.

As for us, we traveled with Emirates Airlines (20th November) and everything was smooth. From the check-in counter upon getting our boarding pass, we were asked for the visa and I told them that visa will be issued upon arrival which they checked in their system, the staff just gave us a paper to sign (like a waiver) and that's it. No other questions nor interrogation.

Hi,
The price was very reasonable. It was just a 'lil bit expensive for us since I requested for 4-5 stars hotel. It was around 850USD each (visa was waived, but you have to be there for a minimum of 2 consecutive nights). The price was excluding airfare, travel insurance, tips and lunch/dinner. It depends on how's your deal with JST.

Good thing I browsed through some blog articles, I was initially planning to fly to Jordan thru FlyDubai. I will probably freak out at the airport if I get offloaded!

Yes, I think I am lucky, Pie! But I just really thought it's not mandatory so I never purchased a travel insurance. As you have mentioned, it is mostly asked from my point of departure, which in my case is Kuwait. And honestly, really, I was never asked for it. But just in case they'll be asking me for travel insurance this time around, can I readily pay for it then and there?
