I started my career in the Philippines as an Admin for Travel Division (for 10 months) just after I graduated my Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism in the year 2010, and about a month or two of trying my luck by sending CV online for opportunities abroad, fortunately, I received an offer in Dubai, UAE (which of course, I immediately grabbed).
It's been my greatest hope to travel, see and experience the world ever since, reason why I was so eager and determined to work overseas, and thus, working abroad is the easiest way I see to fulfill that dream whilst earning to support my family and prepare for my future (since 'am not qualified to be a flight attendant nor to work in a cruise ship, huhu!). It was in the scorching month of June 2011 when I arrived in the Middle East and started to experience Arabian culture.
Hello UAE.
I worked for almost 3 years in Dubai as a travel consultant in a young travel agency. I did ticketing and visa applications. I felt like I was travelling the world with the different queries I encountered every day, but I know for sure that it was not enough. I even tried submitting my applications in different International Airlines including the lead airline of Dubai, the Emirates Airlines. They then shortlisted me for several interviews, but despite of all the positive results as well as the advise to wait for an available position and final joining date, it’s so unfortunate that until TODAY, I heard nothing from them. When I finished my contract with the travel agency that I was working with, I decided to look for another offer in a different field. I desired to experience a new work environment and change my career path, but no luck, until I nearly consumed the grace period given after the cancellation of my previous working permit. Then finally, I decided to try and find my future in Qatar.
Hello QATAR.
March 2014, I met Doha and began my new adventure. Almost a month after, I received a job offer in one of Qatar's leading construction company. I was hired as an Administrator and was assigned to one of their special projects. I worked as an assistant to the Sr. Projects Manager. It was a new and exciting experience for me as I was able to meet high profile people and became friends with different types of individuals. I witnessed as well how it is to design and build buildings in a desert sand and just grateful to be part of those amazing developments.
After the project, I was transferred in the main office and worked as an Executive Assistant to the company's Planning Director for over 2 years.
My heart is filled with gratitude for I know God has brought me in here for a good reason and great purpose.
To God be all the glory!

You have a wonderful story, I enjoyed reading it. Everything happened for a reason and the fact that Emirates didn't select you opened the door to Qatar for you. It's so nice to read about people that found their other half in the other side of the world and managed to work it out and be happy together! :)
