The 'Siq' in Petra to the Treasury
I and my husband’s 5 days visit to Jordan was intended for honeymoon. The original plan was to go to Turkey, but since I was not able to gather proper visa information on time, I have decided to shift to Jordan escapade instead (which turned out to be one of my best decisions) as we are eligible to acquire a visa upon arrival (Filipinos residing in GCC), with the help and excellent service from Jordan Select Tours.

JORDAN SELECT TOURS: OUR 5D4N ITINERARY

I didn’t have a lot of information about this country before deciding to pay it a visit, so I did some research particularly with safety considering that Jordan is neighboring Syria and Iraq where civil wars are strongly happening right now.

Though I got the important infos, I was sure that they were just for the sake of those who have not yet experienced the real Jordan. Hence, I’ve jot down the list of some useful facts that everyone needs to know before meeting the ‘Land of Hills and Vall

TOURISM IN JORDAN AMIDST TURMOIL: AFTER THE LEBANON AND PARIS ATTACKS

Amman City
Jordan is one of the top ten largest contributors to UN Peacekeeping troops. In the midst of civil wars happening in other countries surrounding them, they have been greatly positive and hospitable offering refuge to thousands of refugees fleeing the Islamic State.

Despite of being considered to be the safest country in Middle East, Jordan's tourism has reduced to almost 90% since the turmoil started in its neighbor countries. When news about the Lebanon and Paris attacks emerged just this November 2015, a lot of foreigners, tourists and travelers mainly Europeans have cancelled their trips which caused the country's tourism to fall down even more.

Reading quotes that usually help and inspire me a lot to keep my positive vibes sizzling hot has become my interest! I even composed my own 'hugot' phrases which I labeled as my Daily Feels.

Since I am a lass of compilation and this page is intended for "lakwatsa" topics, I gathered all of my favorite travel quotes randomly to produce a photo article, and share with other escapists as these might help and encourage them to pursue the dream that they once thought was impossible.

I hope that we all do have the same vision and these lines will keep everyone motivated.

Travel the world far and wide!

LIST OF THE BEST LUXURY HOTELS & RESORTS IN DEAD SEA, JORDAN

Our scheduled Jordan trip (my husband & I) will be in less than  two weeks time from today, and it gets me so excited! The itinerary includes a stay and visit at the lowest point on earth - the Dead Sea!

I planned this trip two months ago just after our wedding, and instead of spending all of our time beaching for honeymoon (since it's not my thing), I've decided to make it something different. A 5 days trip that includes hiking, beaching, historical and biblical trip, and leisure that will give us a chance to experience the Jordanian Culture.

Hence, I have again scanned Booking.com for the list of the 'Best Luxury Hotels' that can be found around Dead Sea for compilation.

Here is the random list of the hotels as gathered. For further information and latest rates, you can visit the Hotel's official website and
Booking.com.

MY KIND OF TIME OFF

Vacation. Such a beautiful word. The exact way to keep yourself away from the stressful world of exertion.

Travel. Should be all about discovering the unknown, fun and lots of fun!

Beach. Probably the last thing I would consider when planning for my vacation (that's just too boring, well, except for MALDIVES!). 'Am not the beach type person, but that doesn't mean I hate going to shorelines. I love salty water, white beach sands, seashells, starfishes, cottages, and of course, coconut tree shades.

The thing is, I just don't like pretending that I miss summer and can't wait to do "beaching" when the reality is I get super paranoid particularly in open water: the sharks, poisonous jelly soft fishes and the mere fact that..

UPDATED: August 19, 2018

A friend of mine have informed me earlier that VOA (visa on arrival) in Jordan is not possible anymore as they have recently changed the rules.

To avoid future problems with your planned trip, kindly check and confirm visa standing from the Jordanian Embassy in your country of residence.

UPDATED: August 28, 2016

For Philippine passport holders, Jordan is a country that requires an immigration approval prior to travel. (Good news for GCC Residents)

I and my husband are currently arranging a visit to Jordan this  coming November 2015, and as for our case (Filipinos holding a GCC Residency), after inquiring here and there, contacting the immigration in Amman and Jordan Embassy in Qatar, it was then confirmed that we are eligible for a visa upon arrival in Amman Queen Alia Airport Jordan provided we have the following documents / requirements:

AN OPEN LETTER TO MY HUSBAND: HAVING YOU

Doha Corniche, Qatar [23-10-15]
Seems like it's been forever since we've known each other and started our journey as a couple. You were one of the many unexpected things that happened to me, you were one of those that I have never dreamed and wished for, but still, you are one of the greatest gifts God has sent me though you were not wrapped and boxed in a beautiful and expensive cover. You are my definition of "The best and finest things in life are priceless".

I was a young dreamer before I met you and became your wife. A big young dreamer I must say. I wanted to finish College in a well-known University with flying colors and get a Master’s Degree. Land in a high paying job, have my own simple home and car, buy everything I want, eat at fancy restaurants and visit different places as much as I could, not to exaggerate, I even imagined franchising a Jollibee Fast Food in front of our house!

I desired to know what it feels like to be successful and happy from my own achievements, then you came. Yes you came and you read it right, you definitely arrived. It took time before I have learned to love you. You were special I know but you were not my ideal partner back then.
